Delete your Holdclose account & data
Holdclose is a caregiving app published by Juno Code Studio (JCSV One LLC). You can delete your account and its associated data at any time, and this page explains exactly how, and what is removed.
How to request deletion
- In the app (fastest): open Settings and tap Delete account, then confirm. Your account and its data are removed from our systems right away.
- By email: if you have already uninstalled the app, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and delete your account, typically within 30 days.
Delete specific information without deleting your account
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can delete individual items at any time, and the deletion is immediate:
- A medication — open Care → Medications and delete it.
- An appointment, a task, a journal entry, or a health-log entry — open the item and delete it.
- A forum post or comment you wrote — delete it from the post.
Removing an item this way deletes it from your device and from our systems on the next sync. If you'd like us to delete specific information for you, email [email protected] from your account email and tell us what to remove.
What is deleted when you delete your account
Deleting your account permanently removes the data associated with it, including:
- Your profile — the name, email address, and Google account identifier from sign-in, and your username and avatar if set.
- The care information you entered — your loved one's profile (name, age, any conditions you recorded), medications and schedules, appointments, journal entries and notes, your health log, and the emergency/handoff card.
- Photos and voice notes you attached.
- Your Care Circle membership, and any care circle you created, along with the care data synced within it.
- Your community forum posts, comments, and votes.
What is kept, and for how long
- On your device: Holdclose keeps a copy of your care data on the device. Uninstalling the app removes that on-device copy.
- Backups: residual copies that may exist in our providers' routine, short-term operational backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle, within 30 days of deletion. We do not restore deleted accounts from backups.
- Legal retention: we retain data only where required by law (for example, records we must keep to comply with a legal obligation). Holdclose is a consumer wellbeing tool, not a healthcare provider or a HIPAA-covered entity, so this is minimal; any such records are limited to what the law requires and are deleted when that requirement ends.
- Shared content: if you posted in the community forum, removed posts and comments are deleted with your account. Care information you shared into a Care Circle you do not own may remain visible to that circle's owner as part of their own records.
